
Our Costa Rica photo tour begins tomorrow. I walked around the property today for a little scouting – these are just a few of the birds we found. Because the mammal viewing is so good here, people don’t think of the Osa Peninsula as a bird destination. However, the bird viewing is equally fantastic!
Speaking of mammals, while out for a run today saw a river otter. Because they are so prevalent in Alaska, I didn’t think much of it. But when I looked it up in the guidebook when I got home, it said the Neotropical River Otter is “Uncommon to rare (endangered through its range) Darn, I didn’t even take a cell phone photo!
