A Curve-billed thrasher from Monday night at the Desert Photo Retreat. One of the complaints I hear from bird photographers regarding 4/3 systems like my Olympus is that you can’t get those silky smooth out of focus backgrounds. I say non-sense!

A Pyrrhuloxia last night from the lower blind at the Desert Photo Retreat. I have been so busy with guest and projects lately, that I haven’t had any time for my own photography. Last night I got a chance to enjoy that beautiful light in the lower blind!

Trail Cam Bobcat
This was captured in the wash just below our rv this morning. The bobcat has been around this year, I have seen it a few times, but yet to come to either water hole for some reason. I keep a trail cam on both my waterholes, but have a third camera that I move around to see where things are coming and going.
