Here is one from last summer.

I haven’t posted as much as usual this week or so – really busy working on some exciting projects!  Hope to get back to sharing more images soon!

Grabbed this photo while we were hiking to the beach to photograph bears at sunrise – we had some sweet morning light!

I love brown bears, but now I’m shifting to their big white cousins to the north as I head out today to lead a couple of tours Hugh Rose featuring polar bears, auroras and what should be some amazing autumn color!

Back home after a busy week of assignment work in Southeast Alaska.  Thought I would take a minute to share an image from earlier this month during a memorable sunrise!

Just back from my Alaska Bear Photo Tour on the heals of my Alaska Whale and Bear tour.  This wraps up two incredible weeks of photography – one of the most productive stretches I have ever experienced.  We had great weather, even in Ketchikan known for its 200 inches of rain a year.  Saw almost 50 bears, had numerous, very active whales, incredible scenery and really fun guests!  I have so much to share!

For those who have traveled with me on previous bear trips – this is Pavlov cubs.  Pavlov was one of our favorites bears and spent hours playing with the cub as she raised it.  Unfortunately it “Pav” met her demise earlier this spring, but it is nice to see her offspring doing well.
