Because the Brooks Range is so beautiful, I usually try to include some of the scenery in my aurora photos. I think that helps set these images apart from ones captured in less scenic areas. But, sometimes the aurora overhead is so amazing that I had to ignore the scenery. This photo was captured looking straight up. It is amazing how much this one was dancing in the sky!

@Mark. I did. I also have the Rokinon 16, but mostly used the 24. Great little lens for the price. Has to be manual focused, but you have to manual focus night photography anyway.
