From a kayaking trip into Bear Glacier Lagoon, Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska.

Interesting patterns on Ellsworth Glacier this past June, Chugach National Forest, near Seward, Alaska. I photographed this from a helicopter during my Kenai Fjords Photo Tour.

A horned puffin from earlier this summer.

Yesterday for some exercise I grabbed my phone and went for a hike into the Mt. Marathon Bowl. I didn’t expect the fall colors would still be so colorful! As an added benefit, there were a couple of black bears up there as well. Some folks saw a brown bear, but I wasn’t as fortunate. I’m so lucky to have such country just a 45 minute hike away!

For many years I used a service called Feedburner to manage subscribers who wanted to receive my blog via email. A number of years ago, Google purchased Feedburner, and earlier this summer completely shut it down. So unfortunately, my blog stopped going out via email. It was frustrating, as many of my subscribers have been following me here for many years!
My summer was too busy to address the situation, however now I believe I have a new solution in place, and if I’m correct, you should be receiving this blog post in your email if you were a former subscriber! Fingers crossed!
New subscribers can add their email to the box at the top of the far right column. Thanks! Ron

Looks like this guy was posing for me as he takes a break from chasing salmon.
