Downtown Las Vegas.

We have also updated our website with many new Las Vegas photos.  This is now one of our largest sections. 

We have also updated our section of nearby Red Rock Canyon, and added a new section from a afternoon spent at Valley of Fire State Park – I really look forward to returning to this beautiful, colorful area.

Having wildflowers around just provides that many more composition possibilities, even for something like native American rock art.

I spent one evening doing nothing but photographing neon signs in Las Vegas.  There are some really interesting signs there!

I get many emails from photographers coming to Alaska asking about what type of clothing they will need – boots, rain gear etc.  Well to get this shot, I had to go out and get the proper clothing myself.  Yes, now I a pair of dress shoes, slacks and a dress shirt just for these type of opportunities.  🙂

Normally my blog posts are almost in real time.  Usually I prepare the post the same day I take the photo, and post to the blog the next morning.  Well I must admit Zion has been the exception.  We left Zion about a week ago, as soon as the fall colors faded, but I continued to post photos as if I was still there because we had some much fun and I had a lot I wanted to share!Read More

Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada.

I was really fortunate to find this patch of Sacred Datura wildflowers right before sunset.  I wish I had a little more time to work this location, the sun was setting fast- I’m tempted to return to this spot.

Man, Valley of Fire State Park is awesome!  Endless geographical colors and patterns, the photo opportunities are everywhere.  Despite numerous recommendations, I had never visited this state park – I won’t make that mistake again, heck it is only an hour from Las Vegas.
