The desert wildflowers are all but done – however, now the cactus are starting to bloom nicely.
Gila Monster
Saw a small gila monster while I was out running this a.m. This is encouraging – last year after seeing the first one, I spotted 5 more that week, but then haven’t seen one since until today. That shouldn’t be a surprise since these guys spend some 90% of their life underground. This is a photo from last spring.
Dessert Palette
Last night’s sunset. Since they sky didn’t do anything, I left it out.
This was at f/11, 1/30th of a second and ISO 2500 with a Canon 5D IV and 24-105 lens at 65. Even though I was using a tripod, I needed the high ISO to help freeze the wildflowers from the movement thanks to some wind.
Since a couple of people opted for a private workshop, we now have one spot left on my desert workshop: http://desert-photo-retreat.com/sonoran-desert-photography-workshop/
