Last night, Seward, Alaska.
Here is a first – I photographed the aurora last night for over an hour in shorts and flip-flops! Far cry from my typical aurora clothing where I’m more likely to be in bunny boots!
Only a couple of people in the entire campground had any idea this was happening overhead last night at 2:00 a.m. I had hoped to stay up for the arrival of the Holland America cruise ship in hopes of getting the aurora over it, but was just too tired to stay up all night.

Great image. What website so you use for Aurora Forecasts?

Thanks Andy. I like the app Solar Monitor in part because it will provide the forecast from the ACE satellite.
Hi Ron , where exactly in Seward u saw this ? I am currently in Seward for 2 nights ! PleAse suggest a place where it is open ?
