Aurora borealis over Exit Glacier, Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska.
Seeing northern lights over Exit Glacier was a rare treat! Something I had always imagined, but never thought I would see for a couple reasons. First, because of our location relative to the Aurora oval – most shows are North or East of Seward – it is rare to see them to the West like you do here. Plus, the road to Exit Glacier is closed most of the Winter – so it took the perfect combination of conditions – a great show, clear skies and a open road.
