A number of years ago I took a photo of this Las Vegas Welcome sign while zooming my lens. I probably wasn’t the first to do that, and I’m sure I won’t be the last, but it ended up being a fairly popular photo. This trip I wanted to do something different with the sign.Read More

While wandering around Reno last week, I was surprised to read the signage on one of the largest buildings in downtown Reno – it said “National Bowling Stadium”. I thought, surely a building this large couldn’t be all for bowling, there must be more going on in there. We had to go inside to investigate. Sure enough, this was one huge bowling ally! Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Yesterday we left Reno and came up to Lake Tahoe for a few days. We had a snowstorm overnight, but today, a beautiful evening. I spent at least an hour shooting this stretch of shoreline with amazing boulders – the compositions were endless.
