 National Bowling Stadium, Reno, Nevada

While wandering around Reno last week, I was surprised to read the signage on one of the largest buildings in downtown Reno – it said “National Bowling Stadium”.  I thought, surely a building this large couldn’t be all for bowling, there must be more going on in there.  We had to go inside to investigate.   Sure enough, this was one huge bowling ally!  Along with the large stadium seating, there were 80 separate bowling lanes!  Maybe this is one of those places that everyone knows about except me, but it sure surprised me!

Fall colors along Lake Tahoe.

We were going to move on to Moab but have changed our minds.  I have a few days of office work, and have decided against making the two day drive across the west to a place we couldn’t count of the Internet.  Instead we have opted to spend some time in Las Vegas.  We have a place with a fast Internet connection – but we will take some time for some fun and photography as well.  From here we will still head to Zion for a couple of weeks for another complete change of pace!

Lake Tahoe

I had one nice morning and one nice evening at Lake Tahoe, the rest of the time was cloudy mixed with rain and some snow.  If I had more nice light – this spot is where I was going to photograph.Read More

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Yesterday we left Reno and came up to Lake Tahoe for a few days.  We had a snowstorm overnight, but today, a beautiful evening.  I spent at least an hour shooting this stretch of shoreline with amazing boulders – the compositions were endless.
