See the kayakers? From last weeks trip.

The wave train created by our vessel as we came out of the fog in Coleman Cove, and into a beautiful sunny day in Aialik Bay! Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska.

Black Bear. Home from a fantastic 5 days in Kenai Fjords National Park – my “backyard”! We had orcas, breaching humpbacks, bears, so many birds, but mostly, incredible scenery! I must say, it is sure nice once crew and guests have negative Covid tests in hand, and head out away from the news, internet or all the other daily stresses. Things almost seem normal for a few days.
I’m only home for one day, then off to Southeast Alaska for two weeks. I hope to schedule a couple photos over the upcoming days. By the way, this black bear gave us a nice closeup view before turning up the beautiful lagoon near Aialik Glacier.
Going to be doing another Kenai Fjords Photo Tour next year!

Parakeet auklets. This was from last week during my bear and puffin trip. Right now, I’m out in Kenai Fjords where I should have a lot more opportunities to photograph these guys. I’ll let you know on Sunday!

I pre-scheduled this as I’m out on a Kenai Fjords photo tour right now. These bear cubs were from last week, and oh, so cute!

Another “portrait” of a brown bear family from my Alaska Bear Photo Tour last week!

Heading out shortly for five days in Kenai Fjords National Park. Can’t wait! This was from an overnight shake down cruise last Friday.

On my second week of my Alaska Bear and Puffin Tour we didn’t see the red fox who had become such a fixture on my first week. That is, until he showed up briefly my second to last evening – just in time!
