“A little help here” “Can someone give me a paw” Bear cubs crack me up – this one sat down and fell straight over backwards. Who has a great caption?

We took a very short trip to Arizona this week to check on the Desert Photo Retreat. Thanks to a squirrel eating through the power cord to the solar panel, my auto bird feeder didn’t work, but my water system seemed to work well. But, the most fun was going through the game cam to see who was visiting. Had all the regulars – the gray fox pair had 3 young which was so exciting! The javelina had two babies, even the skunk had a little one! Also had deer, coyote, numerous birds and more. Here are a few of the highlights out of almost 10,000 photos.  More photos below.

Home from another awesome Alaska bear and whale photo tour!  We had hot and sunny weather every day of the trip – a rare stretch of weather for the Inside Passage!  The heat and late salmon run did decrease the bear activity a bit, but it was more than made up for with other opportunities, especially the killer whales (orcas)!  We spent time with orcas on three separate days, and on two of those days we had separate pods that swam over to, and around the boat giving us an amazing close up show!  Here you can see I was too close at 100 mm and finally had to pull out my phone!  We also had lots of humpbacks including bubble-net feeding, eagles, otters, porpoise and brown bears!  I still have a little bit of room for next years trip if anyone is interested!
