Not only was there another cub, and the mom nearby, but yes, there was a person in the outhouse!  Needless to say, they had to wait awhile.  🙂

Autumn in the Brooks Range, Alaska.

Autumn comes early in the Brooks Range – this was at the end of August.  So does winter.  It was still August when I encountered 18 degree temperatures and blowing snow in Atigun Pass just north of where this image was captured!  That is too early for winter!
