On my past trips to South Georgia, Prion Island has been closed to visitors due to the fur seal activity. But, during our October visit, the island is open to visitors and I was finally able to see these huge, magnificent birds up close! This one will be fledgling soon.

Aside from some blue in the iceberg, this scene contained little color to begin with, so I decided to convert it to a black and white, something I normally never do. It was a fun process, brings back memories from the time spent developing and printing images in a black and white lab.
