Just back from an awesome Alaska Bear and Whale Photo Tour! We visited one new place for me that had 15 spring brown bear cubs! I think we saw at least 10 of them. We also had two separate groups of bubble-net feeding humpbacks, breaching humpbacks, glaciers… I leave again in the morning, I sure hope this upcoming week is as good.

This was last month during my Alaska Bear Photography Tour – these third summer cubs should really be heading out on their own by now, they are nearly as large as the mom! We are already down to a couple spots on next years tours.

Been awhile since I shared some shameless shelf promotion, but why not! This is the cover of this year’s Alaska Railroad brochure. I captured this image last year at this time in Grandview after a backpacking trip. The railroad ride to Grandview is awesome, and one of the less know gems of this state.
