Autumn colors last week North of Fairbanks.  I fly back north tomorrow for one more polar bear trip!

Home for a few days between polar bear trips!  This was one of the more exciting moments as a adult bear challenged this mom with three cubs for a hunk of whale blubber she had been carrying and sharing with her cubs.  After a bunch of growling, and even some swings with the paws, the challenger surprisingly came away with the spoils.
