Baby Javelina

Javelina, Marana, near Tucson, Arizona.

On the morning of November 26th, I watched the pack of javelina and didn’t see any young (although it is possible I missed them). That afternoon, they had two babies, so I think they were born that day! This was a quick glimpse I got of them earlier this week on November 29th, still possibly just a few days old! They showed up again last night in the trail camera, it will be fun to watch them grow up this winter!

A bobcat! This was yesterday’s visitor – two great visitors over the last two days, what a treat! This was through the window of our RV, we were able to watch him for a bit.

A javelina visitor here last night!
You know what isn’t caught up in supply chain issues? A gift certificate to the Desert Photo Retreat! We have a wide variety available on on line on our website.

Sorry I haven’t posted here for awhile. I have been really busy here in Arizona repairing the road, photo blinds and a bunch of other things that seemed to have gotten damaged during the crazy monsoon season this year. This photo was the first time I pulled my camera out since we arrived down here – hopefully more photography soon!

American Crow, Resurrection Bay, Seward, Alaska.

Snow accumulating on the head of an American Crow yesterday. If you look close, you can see our house reflected in its eye. We have brought our website current and here are lots more Alaska Photos!

The fishing vessel Sunward passing by the house in a snowstorm a few minutes ago. The name is a bit ironic. 🙂

Where is the bear?

Lupine fields, Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.

Where is the bear? On my Alaska Bear Photo Tour this past June, every time a bear appeared to be heading towards this field of lupine, we would hurry over in get into position for a photo! Unfortunately, we never did have a bear pass through this field. For whatever reason, the bears would always skirt around the edge. Worth the gamble!
