The gray fox pair coming into the water hole last night – I cropped the water hole out of the images, it is just to the right. I think this is the first time over the years that I actually captured both fox in the same frame. Pretty animals.

A screen shot from my wifi camera from last night! The good news, I had my real camera trap set up last night. The bad news, it was not at this little water hole. I stepped outside and walked by this 15 minutes after he drank, and had no idea he had just been there! He has come to this water hole only 13 feet from our RV in the past, but always in the middle of the night when the lights are off and we were sleeping. This is the first time he has visited where he could see us through the windows with the radio on and all. Super exciting and a bit scary. For perspective, that wood you see next to the water hole is 23 1/2 inches high.

Such a treat to listen to and watch this Western screech-owl who nest near our driveway. It rarely pops its head out until it is a bit darker, but a couple of days ago he made an appearance a good half hour or more before sunset so I was able to capture this photo. This was at our Desert Photo Retreat.

Had to believe these two Sonoran Desert photos were captured just 8 days apart. One at Desert Photo Retreat, and the wildflowers nearby at @Pichacho Peak State Park.

A recent cancelation just opened a single spot on my Anan Bear Photo Tour out of Wrangell, Alaska.
This trip involves much more than the Anan bears, although we will spend two full days at this beautiful rainforest bear viewing destination. Here we will see bears catching salmon after salmon and lots of other great behaviours! Most of the bears are black bears, most years we also have brown bears along with the black bears. The place is also loaded with eagles.
In addition, we will take a trip up the Stikine River for some amazing scenery, along with another trip to the La Conte Glacier, maybe the most active tidewater glacier in Alaska.
Except for breakfast, this is an all-inclusive trip including a waterfront hotel, all excursions and even a couple of feasts at our host’s home.
This is also my most affordable trip. The six day 5 night trip is $4,660. Add $1,000 for single travelers who will have their own room. For more information, visit: Anan Alaska Bear Photo Tour.

Another recent photo from Picacho Peak State Park in Arizona. We drove by the area on Sunday and traffic was backed up onto the off-ramp! Definitely want to avoid the weekends here. It is nice to go early, however the poppies don’t open until mid morning so early isn’t always helpful.
