I found this leaf embedded into the surface of Spencer glacier earlier this summer. What is interesting is that this was way out on the ice miles from the nearest tree.

Is that bear you posted before this my favorite one again? There’s something about the end of his muzzle. I think he was posing deliberately for you. Bet it would make me throw caution to the wind and get too close to get to know him better and it would be goodby Joni.
I believe it is – good eye. She was often down by the river looking for salmon, so if we had an early morning and beautiful light, we would often look for her first.
